Wayne Bentham, MD

Dr. Wayne Bentham is an internist and psychiatrist and is Medical Director for Ketamine and TMS services at The Remedy Mental Health. Dr. Bentham’s board certifications include Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and Diplomate of the American College of Independent Medical Examiners.

After graduating from Princeton University, Dr. Bentham earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his residencies and fellowships at Georgetown University Hospital, (Internal Medicine Residency) University of Washington Medical Center (Psychiatry Residency), and Duke University Hospital (TMS & ECT Fellowships). Additionally, Dr. Bentham participated as medical faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Associate Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Training Program.

Dr. Bentham’s practice focuses heavily on research, primarily collaborative mental health care, health care policy, innovations in mental health services delivery, and clinical teaching. In 2014 he transitioned from academic medicine to practice full time in a clinical setting.

Over his career, Dr. Bentham’s clinical experiences have included practices in inpatient psychiatric units, consultation-liaison psychiatry, outpatient psychiatry clinics, community mental health centers, specialty medical centers (diabetes care, organ transplant programs), community partnerships, and telepsychiatry.
