Alyssa Kukert, MS is a dedicated and compassionate pre-licensed LPCC candidate currently working under supervision. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Cloud State University. Since joining The Remedy in 2024, Alyssa has been providing individual therapy sessions both via telehealth and in-person at our Maple Grove, MN location.
Alyssa welcomes teens and adults from all backgrounds, bringing experience in treating borderline personality disorders, PTSD, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and grief. She has a particular passion for helping individuals who seek a deeper understanding of themselves and are motivated to build resilience in their lives.
Alyssa’s therapeutic approach is person-centered, incorporating techniques from dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing, all framed within an existentialist viewpoint. She uses a strengths-based approach to collaboratively develop practical coping strategies and resilience in the face of life's challenges. Alyssa aims to empower her clients to reclaim their sense of agency, cultivate self-compassion, and restore trust in themselves and the world around them.
Outside of her professional life, Alyssa enjoys reading, baking, spending time at the lake with her family, and taking her dog, Teddy, out for walks.
Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and empowerment, where healing and transformation become possible. It would be an honor to be a part of your therapeutic journey.
