She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Augsburg College and has extensive experience in clinical social work, supervision, and therapeutic practice. Peggy is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), currently pursuing full EMDR certification.
Peggy is recognized for her thoughtful, organized, and steady clinical style. She prioritizes creating a safe and supportive space where individuals feel heard and validated as they navigate complex emotional challenges. Her therapeutic work includes short-term crisis intervention, EMDR, DBT, and supportive psychotherapy, with a focus on helping clients manage acute emotional distress and develop effective coping strategies.
Her primary clinical population includes adults in midlife and older adulthood. Peggy specializes in supporting individuals experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, caregiving strain, health-related changes, relational transitions, and major life adjustments. She integrates evidence-based modalities with a strengths-based perspective to promote resilience, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
Outside of work, Peggy integrates strength-based approaches, mindfulness practices, and resilience-building strategies to support her overall well-being. She remains actively engaged with friends and family, enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing, and incorporates restorative leisure pursuits including reading and engaging in puzzles and other cognitive enrichment activities.
