Biography

Ashleigh Kane is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with experience supporting individuals with mental health, substance use, trauma, and a variety of life challenges. Before working in behavioral health, Ashleigh spent seven years in corrections with adolescents and adults, including juvenile detention, probation, treatment courts, and bail evaluations. That experience shaped her desire to help people through a more supportive, compassionate approach.

Ashleigh takes a person-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions while also exploring mind-body and Internal Family Systems concepts to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns.

Her goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and respected while working together to navigate challenges and identify meaningful ways forward. Ashleigh believes that sometimes having someone there to listen, offer perspective, and help guide the process can make an important difference.

Ashleigh earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and her master’s degree in Co-Occurring Recovery Counseling from Metropolitan State University. She brings five years of experience in community-based mental health and substance use care across a variety of settings and populations.

Outside of work, Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her two children and family, going to the gym, being outdoors, staying active, and traveling when she has the opportunity.
