Angela spent 13 years working as a psychiatric nurse in inpatient settings before becoming a nurse practitioner. For the past two years, she has practiced as a PMHNP in inpatient care, treating a wide range of mental health conditions including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders.
Angela takes a patient-centered, trauma-informed approach to care. She believes in recognizing each individual’s unique experiences, cultural background, and personal goals. She works collaboratively with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their values and readiness for change, while fostering a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment.
Angela is motivated by a deep desire to help individuals feel understood and supported during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. She finds meaning in building therapeutic relationships, reducing stigma surrounding mental illness, and helping patients develop the stability and tools they need to improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out at the gym, reading, traveling, and being outdoors with her dogs whenever midwest weather allows.
